Clouds of opportunity

Cloud computing now days seems to be the best pass phrase to get the unconditioned attention of the companies’ decision makers when contacted to discuss theirs ICT projects.

Here are some statistics on that market value as reported by UK TRADE AND INVESTMENTS which is a government body focussed on the development and facilitation of international investments in UK:

Cloud Services

The UK Cloud Computing annual market value is predicted to grow from £2.4bn to £6.1bn by 2014. Currently 18% of UK SME business use cloud solutions but a further 30% plan implementations within the next year. By 2015 half of all new IT spending by the public sector is predicted to be on public cloud services.

Data Centres - The UK data centre market, is the largest in Western Europe and the growth in the amount of data and new services such as cloud computing is creating new sources of demand. Gartner predicts a rise in overall hosting and cloud services from £21.2bn in 2008 to £70 billion in 2013.portunity

Those numbers are clearly highlighting a huge commercial opportunity for European companies who are willing to take interest in the UK’ smb market. In particular we are speaking about a market where the burocracy is much lower than any other European country and where there are still substantial funds to be invested in new technology.

At Helios Marketing Solutions ,in the last quarter of 2012 and in the first few months of this year, we have run numerous lead generation campaigns targeting the SMB sector with particular attention to the lower end of the spectrum, finding that the demands for could computing services are even higher than the quoted average. The vast majority of the decision makers have made enquiries regarding those products in conjunction with the need of having a business partner who could offer a tailor made service able to responds to the needs of a small organization. The average values of the projects are positioned within the bracket of 10 to 20 thousand’s GBP as initial investment. That amount could potentially be raised to a much higher figure once the right service and products are identified.

Currently we have a large number of nurture leads waiting to be developed in tangible sales opportunity pending the identification of a ICT partner willing to understand the service needs bonded to those projects.

Cloud computing offers a unique opportunity to deliver the service required remotely as the user is already used to see internet and a new dimension where to operate professionally.

Furthermore is clearly evident that a European company could explore this market by taking advantage from a targeted marketing activity able to bring to live many dormant commercial opportunities.

The illusionist Mariano Tomatis has published this video on his website. The video is gone viral quite rightly achieving so far in excess of 670K clicks on You Tube. Can anyone explain this trick?
