EU program for Microfinance

How many times we all have eared prospective clients saying that the product was right, the service and assistance was great and that the payment terms and the discounts applied were even better, but that they could not afford to spend the money! Equally how many times we had to stop a project in our companies because of a lack of cash to spend!

In those moments the frustration reaches sky high levels, knowing that despite we have done a great job we have in reality wasted our time or because we know that the expenditure that we cannot afford would have been so important for the development of our company.

Well, to have a better chance to close our deal or  to complete a  project for our own company, there is an opportunity to explore offered from the European Commission in the form of Microfinance consisting in loans up to 25 thousands Euros.

It is worth put your attention that this is a loan and not a grant, but that the loan is Guaranteed from the European Commission and therefore easier to get. The loans are given to SMB/PMI operating in one of the EU countries by banks or financial institution taking part into the scheme. Start-ups are as usual very welcome into the scheme, but there is a solid opportunity to get the finance also for company having a project to buy IT equipment.

The company requesting Microfinance will have to comply with some criteria for eligibility which are outlined in the European Commission website. In order to get more information on the scheme, you can visit the dedicated EU website access2finance.eu which is self-explanatory and intuitive to use.

The website will give you access to an interactive section where you will be able to select your EU country of residence and the language preferred. Those criteria will filter the database, listing on the screen a document with all the details of the banks and financial institutions taking part into the scheme in the selected country, along with a wealth of information on the Microfinance available.

We will be grateful if you wish to leave your comment in to our blog where you will find many posts dedicated to ICT and SMB/PMI companies. Once you have visited our site LocatorIT.com why don’t check if your company is listed into our database? In order to do that just use the search facility published on the home page just under the logo.
